Characters Oobi Grampu Sheila Sophie Synopsis In the park, Oobi meets a mom and a baby. He is fascinated. The mom explains how she takes care of the baby and lets Oobi help feed her, burp her, and play with her. Oobi gets to hold a baby for the very first time. — NickJr.com Plot Oobi and Grampu are playing catch with a ball in the park. Grampu accidentally throws the ball into a nearby bush. Oobi tries to find the ball but is distracted by a sound. He spots a mother and her baby, who is making the noise. Oobi and Grampu walk over to the baby and compliment her. The mother introduces herself as Sheila and asks Oobi if he wants to play with the baby, Sophie. As Oobi familiarizes himself with her, Sophie begins to cry. Sheila explains that she is hungry and needs to be fed. Oobi takes a bottle from Sheila's bag and gives it to Sophie, who quiets down. Oobi invites the viewers to imitate baby talk by saying "goo-goo." After he does this, an interview segment begins. It features Grampu talking to preschoolers about baby talk. The scene cuts to Sophie, who needs her diaper changed. Oobi does this and leaves Grampu to take out the trash. Afterwards, Sheila teaches Oobi how to rock a baby to sleep. He does this with Sophie, who begins to snore. The episode ends Oobi waves "goodbye" to the viewers with Sophie sleeping next to him. Cast Tim Lagasse as Oobi Tyler Bunch as Grampu Heather Asch as Sophie Trivia This is the only episode of season two where Uma is completely absent. It is also the only full-length episode where both Uma and Kako do not appear at all. The scene where Oobi holds Sophie is featured in the opening theme for season two.
