About the places

Oobi takes place in a quaint, old-fashioned neighborhood where hand puppets talk and act like people. All of the show's set pieces were built on tall wooden poles, positioned to be level with the puppeteers' hands when they raised their arms. This kept the actors out of the camera frame and allowed them to walk normally while performing, making their puppets' movements very smooth.

The main sets are the different rooms of Oobi's house. In season three, many new sets were made for the buildings of Oobi's neighborhood. Check out the location pages below!
