Scene 1: Oobi's storybook[Oobi is outside, drawing on a bunch of papers. Birds are chirping in the distance.] Oobi: Hmm. Oh, hi. Oobi make storybook. Almost done. [scribbles] There. Done. [calls out] Grampu, Uma, Kako! Uma: Uma here. Grampu: Yes, Oobi? Kako: You rang? Oobi and Kako: [laughter] Oobi: Look, Oobi make storybook. Uma, Kako, and Grampu: [together] Ooh. Uma: Pretty. Grampu: Lovely. Oobi author. Uma: Author? Grampu: Oh, uh, author write story. Oobi: Wow. Author. Oobi author! Grampu: Mm-hmm. Kako: So, Oobi, story about... what? Oobi: Dinosaurs. Story called The Lost Umasaurus. [Oobi holds up his book. It shows Uma as a dinosaur.] Uma: [gasps] Umasaurus? Oh, look, Umasaurus barrette, Uma barrette. See, Grampu? Grampu: Oh, yes. Uma and Kako: Read story! Oobi: Okay, okay. Grampu: Ooh, lovely. Oobi: The Lost Umasaurus, by Oobi. Scene 2: The land of dinosaurs[Oobi starts narrating the book. The story unfolds in a prehistoric jungle, where a dinosaur in Uma's likeness is caught in some vines.] Oobi: [narrating] Once upon time, Umasaurus lost. Umasaurus: [whimpers] Umasaurus lost. H-home, this way? Huh? Oh, hmm. Mm, nuh-uh. Umasaurus lost. [straining] Uh-oh. Umasaurus lost and stuck. [Another dinosaur walks by. He is brown and looks like Oobi.] Umasaurus: Oh! Dinosaur! [gasps] Dinosaur help Umasaurus. Dinosaur, dinosaur! [turns to the viewers] Oh, Umasaurus call dinosaur, you call dinosaur. Ready? You, call dinosaur. Uma and Voices: [all] Dinosaur! Dinosaur! Dinosaur! Voice #1: [boy] Dinosaur, over here. [The dinosaur hears and comes over to Umasaurus.] Umasaurus: Thanks. Hello, dinosaur. Oobi-Rex: Hello. Oobi-Rex, king dinosaur. Umasaurus: Umasaurus, stuck dinosaur. Oobi-Rex: Oh, Oobi-Rex help Umasaurus. Umasaurus: But how? Oobi-Rex: Hmm. Oobi-Rex eat vines. Umasaurus: Ohh. Oobi-Rex: [munches through the vines] Umasaurus: Oh! Umasaurus free. Umasaurus free! Thank you, Oobi-Rex. Oobi-Rex: Welcome. Umasaurus: Uh-oh, Umasaurus still lost. Oobi-Rex: Lost? Umasaurus: Mm-hmm. Oobi-Rex: Umasaurus live where? Umasaurus: Red house, white fence. Grampusaurus waiting. Oobi-Rex: Oobi-Rex help Umasaurus find home. Umasaurus: Really? Nice! Uh, how? Oobi-Rex: Um, Oobi-Rex, Umasaurus walk, this way. Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus: [both humming] [They come across a white fence, obscured by fog and leaves.] Oobi-Rex: [gasps] Umasaurus, look. White fence! Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus: [both gasp] Umasaurus: White fence near red house. Oobi-Rex: Red house where? Umasaurus: Oh, follow white fence, find red house. Oobi-Rex: Yeah, follow white fence, find red house. Umasaurus, Oobi-Rex find red house together! Umasaurus: Together. Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus: [singing] Umasaurus home today. friends help find way! Umasaurus home today, friends help find way. Scene 3: Back to reality[The scene cuts back to Oobi reading the story.] Oobi: [narrating] Umasaurus home today, friends help find way. Uma: Ooh, Umasaurus lost. Kako: Story good! Grampu: Mm, yes. Oobi: Thanks. Uma: Umasaurus find red house? Umasaurus find Grampusaurus? Get home how? Grampu: Oobi? Read. Oobi: Mm-hmm. Kako: Ooh. Scene 4: Meeting Dino-KakoOobi: [narrating] Umasaurus, Oobi-Rex walk and sing. [Back in the story, Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus are following the path to Umasaurus's house. They stop at a giant boulder in the middle of the path.] Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus: [both] Umasaurus home today, friends help find way! Umasa-- Umasaurus: Uh-oh. Oobi-Rex: Big rock. Umasaurus: Big, big rock. Oobi-Rex: Oobi-Rex strong! Oobi-Rex push rock. [He tries to push the rock away, but it doesn't budge.] Oobi-Rex: [straining] Oof. Um, Umasaurus help Oobi-Rex? Umasaurus: Okay. Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus: [both straining] Umasaurus: Oy. Oobi-Rex: Rock too big. Umasaurus: Umasaurus still lost. [Umasaurus leans up against the rock, distraught.] Umasaurus: Umasaurus live here... with rock. [A third dinosaur, Dino-Kako, overhears the others struggling and walks over.] Dino-Kako: Wazzup? Oobi-Rex: Hi. Oobi-Rex, king dinosaur. Dino-Kako: Ah. Dino-Kako, best friend dinosaur. Oobi-Rex and Dino-Kako: [both laughing] Umasaurus: Oh. Umasaurus, lost dinosaur, with rock. Dino-Kako: Oh, Umasaurus lost? Umasaurus: Mm-hmm. Dino-Kako: Umasaurus live where? Umasaurus: There, rock. Other side. Dino-Kako: Oh. No problemo! Dino-Kako strong. [grunts] Dino-Kako move rock. Umasaurus: [gasps] Ooh. [Dino-Kako tries to push the rock by himself, but it still doesn't move.] Dino-Kako: [straining] Heh. Oh. [He picks up some leaves and quickly eats them. Oobi-Rex gives him a confused look.] Dino-Kako: [explaining himself] More protein. Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus: [both] Ohhhh! Oobi-Rex: Protein. Umasaurus: Yeah. Dino-Kako: [still straining] Ohhhh-eeee-narrrr! Umasaurus: Uh, Dino-Kako? Dino-Kako? Umasaurus, Oobi-Rex push rock same time? Dino-Kako: Uhh, okay. If Umasaurus insist. Umasaurus: [to the viewers] Yeah, ooh, hey, you help? You say, "One, two, three, push." Ready? You say, "One, two, three, push." Umasaurus and Voices: [all] One, two, three, push. Oobi-Rex, Umasaurus, and Dino-Kako: [all straining] [The rock finally starts to move. It rolls off of their path and crashes.] Oobi-Rex: Rock pushed. Umasaurus: Thank you! Dino-Kako: Wow, path clear. Perfecto. Umasaurus: Now follow white fence, find red house, together! Oobi-Rex and Dino-Kako: [both] Together! Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus: Sing now. Dino-Kako: Okay. Oobi-Rex and Umasaurus: Umasaurus home today, friends help find way. Oobi-Rex, Umasaurus, and Dino-Kako: Umasaurus home today, friends help find way. [The dinosaurs continue down the path.] Oobi: Umasaurus home today, friends help find way. Scene 5: Interview[ The scene cuts to an interview segment with Inka.] Inka: Hello, Zack. Zack: Hi! Inka: Zack write story? Zack: Mm-hmm. Inka: Oh. Show Inka, tell Inka. Zack: [holds up a drawing] Well, it's about me and my mom and my dog, Ollie. Inka: Oh, Ollie. See, picture? Zack draw picture? Zack: Uh-huh. Inka: What happening in picture? Zack: Well, me and my mom are sitting on the couch. That's my mom, and that's me. [points] No, that's me, and that's my mom. And this is Ollie. Inka: Oh, very nice. Zack author. Write story. [chuckles] Very good. Scene 6: How will the story end?[Back in Oobi's backyard, he is showing everyone the next few pages of the story.] Kako: Ooh. Kako like Dino-Kako. Uma: Story great. Grampu: But, Oobi, Umasaurus get home? When? How? Uma: Oobi, read. Oobi: Mm-hmm. [He opens the book again. The pages crinkle.] Scene 7: Umasaurus finds her home[The scene fades back to the dinosaurs.] Oobi: [narrating] Dinosaurs walk and sing. Umasaurus home today, friends help find way. Oobi-Rex, Umasaurus, and Dino-Kako: Umasaurus home today, friends help find way. [Umasaurus notices a tree and a patch of flowers.] Umasaurus: Oh, dinosaurs, stop! Tree, Umasaurus know. Oh, Umasaurus know flowers. [excited] Oh, red house! Oobi-Rex and Dino-Kako: [both] Red house? [Umasaurus walks to the front door. She sees the family's garden gnome, Fritz.] Umasaurus: Oh! Garden gnome: Fritz! Umasaurus home. Umasaurus home! [Grampusaurus comes outside.] Umasaurus: Oh, Grampusaurus! Grampusaurus: Umasaurus? Umasaurus home! Oh, lovely. [kisses her] Mmwuh! Umasaurus: Grampusaurus, friends help Umasaurus find home. Grampusaurus: Oh, thank you. Well, uh, hungry, must be. Dino snacks? [He pulls up a plate of brownies.] Oobi-Rex, Umasaurus, and Dino-Kako: [all] Dino snacks! [chanting] Dino snacks, dino snacks, dino snacks. Scene 8: Oobi the authorOobi: [narrating] Dino snacks, dino snacks! Dinosaurs live happily ever after. Uma, Kako, and Grampu: Yay! [applause] Grampu: Book lovely! Kako: Perfecto. Uma: Nice! Oobi: Thanks. Grampu: Oobi author. Oobi: Oobi author. Kako: Author, Kako's best friend. Uma: Author, Uma's brother. Oobi: Um, book for Uma. [Oobi gives his book to Uma.] Uma: [gasps] For Uma? Oh, Uma kiss author? Oobi: [shyly] Uma kiss author. Uma: Mmwuh! [kisses him] Thank you. Nice book. Oobi: [to the viewers] Oh, Oobi-Rex--oops. Oobi, you friends! Bye. Voice #2: [girl] Bye, Oobi.
