Scene 1: Smelling a flower [Oobi is outside in the garden.]
Oobi: Oh, hi. Garden. Trees, bushes, flowers. Oobi smell.[He takes a deep breath and smells a flower.]
Oobi: Ah. Oh, Oobi smell. You smell. You , smell!Oobi and Voices: [inhaling][Oobi lets Uma smell the flower. She is allergic to it and starts to sneeze.]
Uma: Uma sme-- Uma sme-- Uma-a-a-- achooo![Uma's sneeze sends Oobi flying away.]
Oobi: [gets up] Gesundheit.Scene 2: How to plant a seed [The scene cuts to Grampu showing Oobi, Uma, and Kako how to plant a seed.]
Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together] Mm.Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together] Grow flower?Grampu: Seed. [shows a pile of seeds][He digs in a pot of soil and puts the seed in it.]
Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together] Oh.Grampu: Wait. Soon, flower.Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together] Oh.Grampu: Oobi, Uma, Kako, grow flower.Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together] Grow flower!Oobi: Oh, seed, plant, water... seed, plant, water...Uma: Ooh, ooh! [points to the sun]Kako: Seed, plant, water, sun, wait, grow.Uma and Kako: [together] Grow flower!Scene 3: Growing a flower [The scene cuts to Oobi, Uma, and Kako with their own pot of soil.]
[Oobi plants a seed. Uma tries to pick up a watering can, but needs Oobi's help.]
[Oobi pours some water on the seed.]
Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [humming together][They look at the pot, but nothing has happened. They look away.]
Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [humming a little louder]Oobi: [sighs] Flower? Grow?Oobi, Uma, and Kako: Grow, grow, grow. Grow, grow, grow! Grow, grow, grow!Kako: [notices the viewers] Hey, you. You grow-grow-grow.Oobi: Yeah! You, grow-grow-grow.Kids and Voices: [all] Grow, grow, grow. Grow, grow, grow! Grow, grow, grow![Uma imitates a seed growing.]
Uma: Uma seed. Uma grow. Seed, your turn.[Grampu walks over to check on the kids.]
Grampu: [laughs] Wait longer.Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together] Oh, wait longer.Scene 4: Swaying in the wind [In the next scene, Uma is still waiting for the seed to grow.]
Uma: Flower grow. Uma wait. [humming] Oh, woo, flower![She sees a small white flower in the backyard. It's moving slightly in the wind.]
Uma: Ah, flower. Oh, wind. Flower move. Uma move. Woo, woo! Woo, woo![She moves back and forth like the flower.]
Uma: Flower move, you move. You , move!Uma and Voices: Woo, woo, woo! Woo, woo, woo!Uma: Flower move. You move. Woo, woo, woo, woo! [laughs] Ah, sun.[A ray of sunlight comes down.]
Scene 5: Pretending to be flowers [Uma gets the idea to pose like a flower and hide in the garden to surprise Grampu.]
Kako: [sees Grampu coming] Grampu! Hey, Kako, Oobi hide.Uma: [posing like a flower] Hee, hee, hee.[They all pose like flowers.]
Grampu: Huh? Oh. [laughs][Grampu knows it's them, but he plays along and pretends to be fooled.]
Grampu: Flowers. Beautiful. [sniffs] Lovely.Grampu: Uma, Kako, Oobi? [laughs] Flower grow?Scene 6: A sprout grows [The scene cuts back to the kids' pot of soil. A sprout has come up where the seed was.]
Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together, confused] Sprout?[Grampu takes out a magnifying glass and shows them the sprout up-close.]
Oobi, Uma, and Kako: Oooh.Grampu: Sprout, baby flower.Grampu: Seed, plant, water, sun, wait... sprout, flower.Oobi: Hello, sprout. [to the viewers] You hello, sprout. You , hello, sprout!Oobi and Voices: [all] Hello, sprout! Hello, sprout!Scene 7: Interviews [The interview segments start. Oobi is in front of some pink flowers.]
Oobi: You flowers, plants grow?Kid #1: You put the seeds in. And then you bury them. And then you water the plants. And then you wait until they grow.Kid #2: I like to grow trees. Even an apple tree.Oobi: You nice plants. Green thumb.[Oobi does a thumbs-up.]
Scene 8: Game segment [Oobi, Uma, and Kako are back in the garden.]
Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together] ♪ Game, game, game, game. Game, game, game, game. Game! ♪Oobi and Kako: [together] Dance game!Uma: Garden dance. Uma plant. You plant. You , plant. Ready?[Uma imitates planting a seed with her fingers.]
Uma and Voices: [all] Plant, plant, plant.Kako: Hey, Kako water. You water. You , water. Ready?[Kako makes a pouring motion, moving his thumb like a spout.]
Kako and Voices: [all] Water, water, water.Oobi: Oobi grow. You grow. You , grow.[Oobi spreads out his fingers like a flower.]
Oobi and Voices: [all] Grow, grow, grow.Uma: Garden dance. Plant, water, grow together. Ready?Oobi, Uma, and Kako: [together] Plant, water, grow.Uma: [to the viewers] You!Kids and Voices: [all] Plant, water, grow!Kids and Voices: [all] Plant, water, grow!Kids and Voices: [all] Plant, water, grow![Uma rushes over to the sprout and sees that a flower has grown.]
Oobi: [turns to the viewers] Oobi, you, friends! Bye.Voice #1: [girl] Bye, bye, Oobi, bye.Voice #2: [boy] Bye, Oobi.
