Scene 1: Oobi and Uma's costumes [It's nighttime, and crickets are chirping outside. The camera pans from Oobi 's window to his mirror. He's wearing a dinosaur costume and roaring at his reflection.]
Oobi: Rowr. [laughs] Rrr! [laughs] Rowr.[Oobi notices the viewers.]
Oobi: Oh! Oh, hi! Today, Halloween. Oobi dinosaur. Rowr![Uma walks in, wearing a bunny rabbit costume.]
Uma: Halloween! Hi! Uma Halloween, first time.Oobi: Ooh, ooh, Uma, look. Oobi costume. Uma guess. Rowr....Oobi: [confused] Plumber?Uma: [laughs] Uma kidding. Oobi dinosaur.Oobi: Rowr! Mm-hmm. Oobi dinosaur.Uma: Uma costume. Oobi guess.[Oobi looks at the viewers again.]
Oobi: Oobi guess. You guess. Ready? You , guess! Uma, what?Voice #1: [boy] It's a rabbit.Voice #2: [girl] Uma's a bunny rabbit.Oobi: Bunny rabbit? Uma bunny rabbit?Uma: Yeah, Uma bunny rabbit. Bunny rabbit ears, see? Bunny rabbit tail, see? Bunny rabbit teeth. Aah![Uma shows her bunny rabbit teeth.]
Uma: Bunny rabbit hop. Hop, hop-hop, hop, hop. Hop, hop, hop, hop![Grampu walks in.]
Grampu: [laughing] Oh, costumes, lovely!Uma: Grampu! Uma, Oobi trick or treat now?Grampu: Yes. Uma, Oobi trick or treat!Uma: Yay! Hop, hop, hop...Grampu: [laughs] Kids, love 'em. Gotta!Scene 2: At Kako's house [Oobi, Uma, and Grampu go to Kako 's house .]
Uma: Uma trick or treat. First time. Kako's house.[Uma goes up to Kako's door without knocking.]
Uma: Wait? Uma trick or treat. Trick or treat!Oobi: Uma, Uma, watch Oobi. First knock.[Oobi knocks on the door. Kako's dad, Papu , answers.]
Papu: Oh, hello, dinosaur.Uma: [gasps] Candy? Ooh...[Oobi takes a piece of candy from Papu. Grampu reminds him to say thanks.]
Oobi: Hmm? Oh. Thank you!Papu: [nodding happily] Hmm.Oobi: See, first knock, then trick or treat.Uma: Uma get it. Hi, Papu.[Papu closes the door.]
Uma: First, Uma knock. Mm-hmm.[Uma knocks on the door, and Papu opens it again.]
Uma: Mm-hmm. Next, trick or treat. Trick or treat!Papu: Hmm. Oh, ears, tail. Uma bunny rabbit!Uma: Yes, Uma bunny rabbit. Candy now![Uma immediately holds out her hand, startling Papu.]
Papu: Papu understand. Candy for Uma.[Uma takes a handful of candy from Papu.]
Uma: [garbled] Just one? Oh, okay.[Uma hums and gives most of the candy back to Papu. She puts one in a bag that Grampu carries for her.]
Grampu: Huh-uh. Save candy.[Kako comes outside. He looks around nervously and seems to be afraid of Halloween.]
Oobi: Uh, Kako, no costume?Oobi: [stuttering] But- but- but- but Halloween fun!Kako: Halloween... silly.Oobi: [gasps in shock] But- but- but- but-Kako: [defensively] Kako? Kako scared? Kako scared? Scared, Kako? [does a loud, fake laugh]Oobi: [softly] Kako scared?Kako: Halloween... scary.Kako: Uh-huh. Spiders...eeh. And noises...whoo! Whoo! And ghosts. Hello? Scary!Oobi: Kako, Halloween pretend.Kako: Well, Kako still scared.Uma: Hmm. Kako? Halloween first time?Kako: Halloween first time.Uma: Uma Halloween first time. Uma, Kako, first time together?Kako: Uma, Kako, first time... together?Oobi: [whispering] Thanks, Uma.Kako: Uh... oh. No costume.[Uma pulls Kako off screen.]
Oobi, Grampu, and Papu: [together] Huh?[Uma pulls Kako back up. He's wearing her bunny tail on his head.] Uma: Whoo. Mm-hmm. Ta-da!Oobi, Grampu, and Papu: [scratching their heads] Hmm. Uh...Oobi, Grampu, and Papu: [together] Oh! Snowball!Oobi and Uma: [together] Trick or treat?Kako: Ah, yeah. [gulps] Trick or treat...Oobi and Uma: [cheering] Come on. Yeah.Papu: Enjoy. [gives him a kiss]Oobi and Uma: [together] Bye! Trick or treat, trick or treat...Kako: Hmm. Trick or treat. [laughs nervously] Trick or treat. Um.[Papu closes the door, scaring Kako.]
Scene 3: Interview [An interview segment starts. Inka interviews a girl named Grace, who's wearing a clown costume.]
Inka: Oh, Inka like Halloween.Grace: 'Cause of trick or treating.Inka: Trick or treat, oh, Inka like. Grace costume?Inka: Oh. Inka have costume too. Wait here.[Inka puts on a red clown nose.]
Inka: Oopa-doo! Inka clown, Grace clown. Two clowns!Inka and Grace: [together] Oopa-doo, oopa-doo! Whoo, oopa-doo. Oopa-doo, oopa-doo!Scene 4: Angus the ghost [The scene cuts to Mrs. Johnson 's backyard.]
[Oobi, Uma, and Grampu look at the decorations on Mrs. Johnson's house .]
Oobi, Uma, and Grampu: [all talking at once] Ooh, pumpkins, decorations.Grampu: Mm-hmm. Pumpkin, carved.[Meanwhile, Angus walks up to Kako, wearing a ghost costume.]
Kako: [terrified] Gh...gh...gh-- Oobi! Uma! G-g-g-g-ghost! Ghost! Ghost!Oobi: No, Kako, Kako! Ghost not real.Oobi: Mm-hm. Ghost Angus.Angus: Hi, Kako. Hi, Oobi. Hi, Uma.Angus: Trick or treat. Mrs. Johnson house. Good stuff.Angus: Yeah. Happy Halloween![Angus pretends to fly away in his ghost costume.]
Uma: Happy Halloween, Angus.Oobi: [laughing] Yeah. Uh, Uma, Kako, trick or treat?Kako: [hesitantly] Yeah, trick or treat.[Oobi, Uma, Kako, and Grampu walk up to Mrs. Johnson's door.]
Scene 5: Candy from Mrs. Johnson [Kako hears spooky cackling sounds, coming from the decorations on Mrs. Johnson's house.]
Kako: [scared] Um, oh! Oh![Uma isn't scared of the decorations.]
Uma: [to the decorations] Hi. Hop, hop, hop.Kako: Uma, Uma, Uma. Be careful.Uma: Kako! Trick or treat fun. Watch.Uma: Space, please. First knock.[Uma knocks on Mrs. Johnson's door, but nobody answers.]
Oobi: [to the viewers] Oh! You help Uma. Uma knock, you knock. Ready? You , knock!Voices: Knock, knock, knock! [laughing][Mrs. Johnson opens her door.]
Mrs. Johnson: [gasps] Oh, bunny rabbit!Uma: Yes, bunny rabbit. Candy now.[Mrs. Johnson gives Uma a box of raisins.]
Uma: Mm, raisins. Tasty good.[Mrs. Johnson sees Oobi's costume.]
Mrs. Johnson: Ooh. Oh, dinosaur!Uma: Close door. Bunny mean it.[Mrs. Johnson closes the door.]
[Uma points to a spot right in front of Mrs. Johnson's door.]
Kako: [reluctantly] Yeah.[Uma grabs Kako and puts him right in front of the door.]
[Kako knocks on the door, then quickly backs away.]
[Mrs. Johnson opens the door again.]
Kako: Oh. Trick. Or treat.Mrs. Johnson: [laughing] Costume, uh... flower?Mrs. Johnson: Oh. Oh, cotton swab. [laughing]Mrs. Johnson: Oh! Oh, snowball.Mrs. Johnson: Clever boy.Oobi and Grampu: [laughing][Mrs. Johnson gives Kako some raisins.]
Mrs. Johnson: Oh, ah, yes.[Kako turns to Uma.]
Mrs. Johnson: Dinosaur, raisins?Mrs. Johnson: [laughing] Oh.[Mrs. Johnson gives Oobi a box of raisins.]
[Kako turns to Grampu.]
Kako: Trick or treat more?Oobi, Uma, and Kako: Bye, Mrs. Johnson.[Mrs. Johnson closes her door.]
Kako: Uma, trick or treat. Next house.Uma: Ooh, wait for Uma! Hop, hop, hop.[Oobi goes to say goodbye to the viewers.]
Oobi: Oh! Oobi, you, friends. Bye.Voice #3: Bye-bye, Oobi. Bye.
