Kako's house

Kako's house is where Kako lives with his parents, Mamu and Papu.

Description

Since Kako spends most of his time with Oobi and Uma, his house only makes a few appearances. It's first seen in season two, though in this season, Kako's room is the only part of his house ever shown. It first appears in "Piano Lesson!" when Kako talks to the viewers from inside his room. It is also seen at the end of "Sleepover!" when Oobi sleeps over in Kako's room.

The other rooms and exterior are eventually seen in season three. "Kako Dinner!" is the first and only episode where Kako's house is the main setting. Oobi is excited to visit Kako and have dinner with his dad, Papu. When he gets there, Kako shows him a wall of family photos and a collection of souvenirs from his past vacations. Later, Papu serves okra in the dining room. Oobi visits Kako's house again in "Halloween!" when he and Uma trick-or-treat there. Only the doorway is seen.

The exact location of Kako's house varies throughout the show. In "Video!", Kako seems to live across the street from Oobi. In "Halloween!", Oobi says that they drove to Kako's house by car, which means it could be farther away.

Looks

The house has a red brick exterior and a red front door. The entryway has grayish-green walls and some potted plants. The living room and the dining room have purple walls. One of the walls has a big collection of family photos, and another has an abstract painting of a black-and-white hand puppet on it. Kako's room has reddish-orange walls. He keeps a magnet board and a bunch of stuffed animals in it.
