The Noggin Auction was an online charity auction held by the Noggin channel in November 2006. Viewers could bid on props, art, and accessories from different Noggin shows. The auction was featured on its own website, which is archived here. As part of the event, three Oobi baseball caps and six Oobi towels were auctioned off. The caps were black adult-sized hats with Oobi and the show's logo on the front. They were signed by Tim Lagasse, who played Oobi. The caps were originally made for the show's production crew in 2004, but Little Airplane Productions gave three of them away for the auction. All of the proceeds from the auction went to FirstBook, a group that gives books to low-income schools. The auction was part of Noggin's "Get Ready to Read" campaign. (source) Tagline
DescriptionAlong with the three Oobi hats, six Noggin goodie bags were auctioned off. Each one included an Oobi towel and soap. No pictures of the towels have been found. The auction ended on November 28, 2006, but the only archives of the bidding page are from two weeks earlier (November 14), so it's unknown how much the items ended up going for. The archive can be found here. GalleryLinks
