Scene 1: Oobi's first piano lesson [Oobi is in the living room, trying to play a tune on the piano.]
Oobi: Oh, hi. Oobi piano lesson. [breathes nervously] F-f-first time.[He presses a few keys, one at a time.]
Oobi: One, two, three. Oh, Oobi count, you count. You , count.Oobi and Voices: [all] One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.Oobi: [laughs] You count good.[The doorbell rings.]
Oobi: Piano teacher. [hurriedly] Grampu! Grampu! Grampu!Grampu :[Grampu opens the front door. The piano teacher, Inka , is there. Grampu is immediately smitten with her.]
Inka :Grampu: [dreamily] Inka... Uh, Grampu.Grampu: Thank you. Oobi? Inka. Inka, Oobi.Inka: Piano lesson. Oobi ready?Inka: Ah, yes. Tea, thank you.[Grampu goes to the kitchen to prepare some tea.]
[Inka stretches out her fingers.]
Oobi: [imitating her] Fingers.Inka: [to the viewers] Ooh, Oobi stretch, you stretch.Oobi and Voices: [all] Stretch! Stretch!Inka: Good. Now, watch, listen.[She plays a scale on the piano.]
[Oobi tries to play the scale, but he presses a few wrong keys.]
Inka: Oobi, relax. Enjoy. Again. Watch, listen.[She starts to sing.]
Inka: ♪ Do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do. ♪ [Cut to the kitchen, where Grampu is making tea. He overhears Inka's singing voice and listens in awe.]
[Cut back to Oobi and Inka.]
Oobi: [sighs] Oobi try. Yes.[He tries again and plays the scale poorly.]
Oobi: Oh, Oobi-- [cut off]Inka: Okay, okay. Relax, Oobi. Again. Relax, breathe. [breathes deeply] Enjoy.[Oobi plays the scale a little slower. He plays a wrong note in the middle, but gets the rest right.]
[He starts the scale again.]
Scene 2: Tea time [At the other side of the living room, Grampu sets out a plate of tea and cookies.]
Inka: Thank you. Oobi, practice.[She walks over to Grampu and smells the tea.]
Inka: Ah! Mmm, jasmine. Inka like. [points to the piano] Grampu play?Grampu: [chuckles] Oh...little bit.[Grampu holds out his fingers, and Inka gently touches them.]
Inka: Oh, Grampu musician.Grampu: [laughs happily] No...Oobi: Yes, Grampu, please?Grampu: Grampu... show... Oobi.Scene 3: Grampu the musician [Grampu and Inka walk over to the piano.]
[Grampu plays a scale perfectly.]
Inka: Grampu musician! Oobi try.[Oobi plays the scale, just like Grampu.]
Inka: Oh, bravo, Oobi! Again.[He repeats it perfectly.]
Inka: Yes, good, Oobi! Now, together.Oobi: [confused] Together? Inka, Oobi?Inka: Inka, Oobi, Grampu.Grampu: [looks at the camera] Oh![The three of them play a scale together in perfect harmony.]
[Oobi and Grampu play a duet while Inka sings.]
Inka: ♪ Do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do. ♪ Oobi, Grampu, and Inka: [all cheering]Oobi: [proudly] Oobi, musician!Grampu: [abrasively] Grampu like Inka![Oobi and Inka look at him awkwardly.]
Grampu: Uh... [laughs nervously] Inka good teacher.[Grampu puts his head down dejectedly.]
[Grampu picks his head back up.]
Scene 4: Saying bye to Inka [Grampu opens the door for Inka.]
Grampu: [happily] Next week, Inka.[Inka walks away.]
Oobi: Bye-bye! [turns to the viewers] Oobi, Grampu bye-bye. You bye-bye. You , bye-bye.Oobi, Grampu, and Voices: [all] Bye-bye! Bye-bye, Inka. Bye-bye.[Oobi walks away. Grampu stays by the door and daydreams about Inka.]
Oobi: [comes back] Grampu? Grampu...Grampu: [dreamily] Inka...Grampu: [snaps out of it] Huh? Oh.Scene 5: Interviews [The interview segments start, presented by Kako . He is in his room.]
Kako: Kako lessons. You lessons?[Grampu interviews a kid named Anthony.]
Grampu: Um... Anthony take lessons?Grampu: No? Anthony want take lessons?Grampu: Ooh, dance. Show Grampu?Anthony: Okay. [does a dance]Grampu: Whoa, nice. Grampu take lessons.Grampu: Yoga. [clears throat] Downward dog.Grampu: Yeah. Grampu cool! Thanks, Anthony.[The scene cuts back to Kako in his room. The camera zooms out to reveal he's wearing a green karate belt.]
Kako: Kako lessons. Karate.[A gong rumbles, and Kako bows.]
Scene 6: Game segment [Oobi and Grampu are playing the piano together.]
Oobi and Grampu: [together] ♪ Game game, game game. Game game, game game. Game! ♪ Grampu: Ooh, stop/go game.Oobi: Grampu play piano. Oobi dance, you dance. You , dance! Go. You go, you go.[Grampu plays the piano while Oobi dances. Grampu stops playing.]
Oobi: Stop! You stop. [laughs] Yeah.[Grampu starts to play again...]
Oobi: Go! You go. You go.[...and stops.]
Oobi: Stop. You stop. Good!Uma :[Uma wildly hits some keys on the piano.]
Oobi: Um, Uma piano lessons?Grampu: Uma piano lessons.Oobi: Oh. Oobi, you, friends! Bye.Voice #1: [girl] Bye-bye, Oobi!Voice #2: [boy] Bye, Oobi.
