Transcript

"Tea!" is an episode of Oobi from season one. Like the rest of the season, it is a short that aired during commercial breaks.

Plot

Oobi and Uma are outside at a picnic table. They're all set up for a tea party. They have teacups and napkins, but they realize that they forgot to bring a teapot. Determined not to let their plans go to waste, Uma gets an idea. She puts her boombox on the table and plays the song "I'm a Little Teapot".

As the song plays, Oobi and Uma act it out with hand motions. They use their pinkies as spouts, and they shake around to represent how the teapot gets "steamed up." After one verse, they invite the viewers to sing and act along. They laugh and cheer when the song ends.

The scene where Oobi and Uma stick out their pinkies is featured in the original opening theme for season one.
- Another scene from this episode was used in a Noggin commercial called Class of 2003.
John Montagna sang the cover of "I'm a Little Teapot" used here. He also performed most of the earlier songs on the show, like the theme song.
